The International Conference on Geo-Disaster and Construction Engineering, held on June 7-8, 2024, at the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, concluded successfully, bringing together over 200 industry professionals from across the globe. The event opened with a compelling keynote address by Dr. Emily Clarke, a prominent figure in geo-disaster mitigation, who underscored the critical role of advanced technologies in tackling the complex challenges faced by the construction industry. The conference featured a series of engaging panel discussions where industry leaders exchanged insights on the latest innovations in building materials and construction processes. The technical presentations that followed offered attendees an in-depth look at cutting-edge research and practical applications, showcasing the strides being made in the field. This gathering provided a premier platform for academic scientists, researchers, and practitioners to share their experiences and discuss the most recent developments, trends, and challenges in advanced building technologies and construction processes.
